Learning to swim*open*

Ratchet looked to where Talone was reaching and saw that she was trying to get her bag so he quickly grabbed it and pulled it over to where she was, she then told him about a white bottle of medicine and so when he found it he put the bottle near her mouth then opened the thing before quickly he clamped Talone's mouth over the other end to ensure that none of the medicine floated out of the bottle due to it being under water.

He just hoped she only drank what was needed, when she stopped swallowing it down he popped the thing out of her mouth and screwed the top back on though he wasn't sure if it was still good due to how water must of gotten in the thing by now. He looked Talone over for a while before sitting beside her and waiting for her to get better, he sat cross-legged and kept his eyes locked on her and though his eyes were always the same one could feel the worry that was hidden behind them.

As the cure-all slid down her throat she could feel her breathing become smoother. She allowed her eyes to slip closed as the medicine ran it's course through her. She knew she was going to have to spit up the poison to remove it from her body but she still felt tired. Her body was completely still as she waited. Every so often she would use just enough strength to twitch the tip of her tail or her fingers to show she was still awake. Her body then went limp as her lips parted allowing a murky silver fluid to leave them. She shuddered as the last of the poison flowed from her lips before laying contently on the wooden piece of the ship. Her easy breathing and slowly swaying tail fin was the only actions that proved she was alive.

Ratchet watch Talone in fear when she started to stop moving around so much and become still, he was worried she had passed on or something but her twitch of her tail or fingers alerted him that she was still alive and thus calmed him down quite a bit. It was then that she allowed something sliver to slither out of our mouth and he figured it was poison so when it was out of her mouth he waved it away to make sure it didn't get into either one of them. When she laid on the on the wood and rested he figured he would get her something to eat, and for that reason he used his powers to summon some help up for him.

Soon a portal opened and out of the portal stepped a seven foot tall being that was clad in an armored diving-suit with a drill on its right arm, its diving helmet glowed yellow as it groaned a slight bit, Ratchet looked at the creature and said "Daddy, I want you to keep an watch over my friend here. I'm going to get some food for her to eat, now stay here Daddy ok?" The one known as Daddy nodded its head before it stood over Talone and guarded her from anything that would harm her in any way.

That was enough for Ratchet as he jetted off to gather up some fish for Talone to eat as well as for himself as he was getting hungry as well and he needed food so badly right now. He just hoped that Talone doesn't freak out when she sees Big Daddy looming over her.....ya Ratchet started to gather food much faster now....

OOC: FYI Grizz said I could NPC him till he is approved to be used to fight, so he can't fight at the moment so ya....hope no monsters come to fight right now *sweat drops*

She settled her body as she entered a half sleep for a moment. She could hear ratchet talking to someone and calling him daddy. She was still too weak/sleepy to open her eyes but pondered on the idea of the heartless having a father. She decided to sit up some and yawn. She still wouldn't open her eyes as if a sudden fear would take over if she did. She felt the cool wooden surface she was laying on before calling out.
"Ratchet? Where are you? Who is this person your call 'Daddy'?"
She moved her hands about until she felt a strange diver suit against her hands. She thought she heard a groan but for some bizarre reason it comforted her and she clung to the suit. She curled her body up some as she slept again.

Big Daddy looked down at Talone as she curled up against him and so he reached down with his left hand and stroked her head like a father does before standing upright once more, watching over his charge like a real father would watch over his children. Ratchet came back after a while with a bunch of fish that he caught and when he saw Talone he had to keep from saying aww and made a mental note to take pictures out of the memory drive in Big Daddy.

When Ratchet landed on the wooden deck of the ship he started to use his electric powers to cook the fish and figured the smell of cooked fish would wake up Talone for him.

Her nose began to twitch at the smell of cooking fish. She opened her eyes some before looking up into the mask of the massive Big Daddy holding her. She gasped and swam away from him as quick as she could. She looked around the ship for Ratchet before hiding behind him like a confused child.
"What is that thing and why was it holding me like a child?!"
Her tail quivered as she wanted to reach for her weapons but didn't think her blades could cut through the thick hide of the Big Daddy's suit.
"Did you leave me alone with that thing?"
One would have thought she had reverted back into a fledgling from her behavior toward the towering summon.

Ratchet figured that would happen as he watched Talone gasp then swim around around like crazy until she got behind him, Big Daddy looked a bit hurt but didn't try to reach for Talone or anything as he just stood there feeling a bit rejected. Ratchet looked over at Talone and said "That is my robot, I call him Big Daddy. As for him holding you.......h-he was made by me to be my daddy.....s-so he is fatherly at times to people."

Then the question about him leaving her alone with it came up and he said "W-well ya but only to get food, Big Daddy was here to keep you safe while I was gone. I couldn't just leave you all alone n-now could I? A-are you going to be ok now Talone?"

She just blinked a few times before composing herself. So this what what he was addressing as Daddy earlier. She swam closer to it and swam in circles around studying it. She looked back to Ratchet with her usual calm look.
"I'll be fine. So you built yourself a father figure? My little brother would love this one you call 'Big Daddy'."
She allowed herself closer to it as it seemed to give her an oddly comforting feeling she hadn't felt since she was small.
"Is it suppose to give you an odd sense of comfort when you're around it?"
She was becoming slightly annoyed by the feeling but at the same time welcomed it as she had never felt comforted before.

Ratchet was happy to see that Talone was now calming down and was even studying Big Daddy as well as her saying she feels fine now, when her questions were asked he answered them to the best of his abilities by saying "Yes I built me a father since I don't have any real parents.......well I can't remember who they were since I can't remember what I was before this. I didn't know you had a brother though.....as for that feeling you get from him........I think it just because he is a silent figure protecting you and even risking his own life to do so that makes a person feel safe around him. Kinda like a real daddy does for his own children."

As this happened Big Daddy would move his head to watch Talone when she was in front of him before she got behind him to which he just went back to staring forward, every time she did that he would do the same thing as well.

She didn't even think of stopping her words as he asked of her brother. She desided to sit infront of the Big Daddy and stare into it's mask as she told of her brother.
"Yeah, his name is Lyle and is 16 now. You actually remind me of him. He is very skiddish for someone his age..."
She trailed off as she reached a hand for the Big Daddy's face. She like the way the cold metal felt on her palm as she giggled softly.
"My birth father was a cowardly man you know...never would raise a hand to fight, even if it were to protect his family..."
She didn't even care she was rambling as the comfort of the giant robot washed over her.

Big Daddy just stared back at Talone as she looked at his face and sat before him, Ratchet listened to her and made sure to make mental notes before he said "I-I remind you of your brother? I would l-like to meet him once, he and I c-could become friends." He then watched her reach out and touch Big Daddy's face and heard her giggle that soft bird song like giggle of hers, he liked it as it sounded pretty but then she talked about how cowardly her biological father was. That was something he couldn't believe as he said "R-really? But you are s-so brave and strong.....and good at fighting off things.....I am s-sorry he was like that Talone."

Big Daddy himself was now stroking Talone's head as if she was a little girl when really compared to him she was so it worked out pretty well, it was kinda weird but touching at the same moment to watch.

She leaned into the touch of the hand as she went on.
"me and my brother ranaway to the forest before they could clip my wings to suit city life. We were taken in by a flock of rouge MaloGriffs where I was tought to fight for the flock. I did it to protect Lyle from the same fate as me. He deserved to fly free."
She allowed her eyes to close as she sighed. She liked this feeling of peace. It was rare her soul could be calmed out of her cold rage but this was keeping her in such a relaxed state she didn't want to leave.

Ratchet sat down beside Talone and listened to her talk but was quite amazed to see how calm she was around Big Daddy but figured a strong father like figure was something she needed it seemed. As she finished her story he heard her sigh and start to close her eyes a bit as Ratchet looked at Talone and said "Talone.......you ok there?"

Her eyes shot open and she dropped her hand from Big Daddy's face. She looked to Ratchet calmly and gave a smile.
"I'm fine it's just I never get this feeling of calm. It's rather refreshing."
She looked over to the fish he was cooking and licked her lips for a moment looking at the meal.
"Is that done by chance?"
Her tail swayed as she eyed the food like a animal on the prowl even though it just sat there ready to be eaten.

Big Daddy took his hand off Talone's head by now and went back to his guard duties as Ratchet smiled and said "I could make you a Big Daddy, but it would be hard to figure a way for you to get him to come to you from far away." It as then that he saw her lick her lips and look at the fish he was using his lighting powers to cook, he blinked a few times and offered the now cooked fish as he started to cook up some other ones and let her eat them. He was just after the darkness the little things have inside of their bodies.

She bowed her head in thanks and gracefully pulled the fish apart to get to the meat under the scaly skin. She could almost taste the electrical charge in the meal but still enjoyed the food. She pondered the idea of having a Big Daddy of her own but decided against it.
"It is nice of you to offer building me a Big Daddy but I think I'm getting too old to rely on a father figure for comfort. I think I'll just find another way to get this comfort I apparently want."
She smiled at Ratchet to show she was being sincere to him and that she still needed to be strong to get back to her brother.

Ratchet watched Talone eat the food and remembered that even though she is a very nice person she could easily rip him apart if she wanted, when she declined his offer he sort of understood the reasoning behind it and said with a smile "I-I hope you are able to find the comfort you are l-looking for. Is there a-anything else you need right now Talone?" Ratchet was still worried about the girl as she did nearly kick the bucket not too long ago.

Her face fell some at his apparent worry over her. She shook her head no as she finished the fish she was eating. She got up from where she was sitting and looked around the ship. A small glint bought her eye as she looked inside what must have been a jewelry box. She daintily picked up a string of pink pearls and a ruby pendant. She swam back over to Ratchet and showed him what she found.
"Now I know this pendant is made from a gem called a ruby but I don't know about these bead-like gems."

Ratchet watched Talone go get some jewelry from some small box that was in the ship and when she returned with it he looked over the gems and pearls before he said "The bead-like things are called Pearls, they are formed when clams get dirt in their shells. They are valuable since it takes a while for a pearl to form." Ratchet got up and walked over to the box she was messing with till he heard a slight cracking noise, it wasn't coming from him but from Big Daddy as Ratchet then yelled out "AHH DADDY!!"

The large machine looked at Ratchet for a second in confusion before he fell through the rotten wood and into the lower areas smashing through the stuff till he hit the very bottom part of the ship, a low moan/groan could be heard from the whole as Ratchet now scrambled down the hole in utter worry about his Daddy.

In an instant Talone dived down after the robot and appeared to comfort the groaning Daddy. She tried to pick him up by his arm but failed even though she swam as hard as she could upward. Shedesided to look around the Daddy to make sure there was no damage to him. She didn't see any harm on his body and sighed.
"Well he's not hurt at least. I didn't think the wood was that rotten. How much metal is Daddy made of?"
She shifted any of the loose wood around Big Daddy's feet and looked around done to make sure nothing was in there that could hurt them.

Ratchet was with Talone by now and was looking Big Daddy over as well as he breathed a sigh of relief to see he was undamaged thanks to the thick armor he had, Big Daddy gave Talone a pat on the head and then ruffled Ratchet's antennas before he slowly sat back up with a groan. He looked fine as Ratchet then said "Big Daddy weights three hundred pounds and unlike us he has no buoyancy so the water doesn't lower the weight that much....I made him very tough so that he wouldn't get hurt easily, but he is fast just this water area is not too good for him to be in."

She stared wide eyed at Ratchet for making him so heavy. She leaned into the petting of her head for a moment but snapped back to reality and kept clearing away wood from around Daddy's feet.
"Well that explains why the floor collapsed beneath him. Maybe it would be better to place him in that coral area we were before the ship. At least then he wouldn't fall through the floor."
As she cleared the wood she found some metal chains wrapped around a large chest.
"I wonder what's in here. Care to help me open it Ratchet?"

Ratchet nodded his head in confirmation to what she said about the wood and also to place him on the sea floor, but then the sound of metal chains caught his attention and he turned to look at the chest that Talone found. It was locked up tight but the metal was rusting so a good few hits would break it out, Ratchet nodded his head before swinging his wrench at the thing a few times club fashion in hopes of breaking the chains and such. He was in fact using the bam bam approach as picking the lock wouldn't work due to the lock being all rusted up, as they did this Big Daddy watched and wondered why they didn't have him use his drill to break the stuff.

A sudden clink and the chain fell away. She moved her fingers nimbly when she opened the chest to see it filled with various gems, jewelry, and gold. She took an Opal hair pin in the shape of a star and pinned it in her hair while taking a copper gear brooch and pinning it to Ratchet.
"I think that looks rather dashing don't you think?"
She took done of the coins and put them in her bag before taking a gold chain and putting it around Daddy's neck with a bubbly giggle. She felt so free and relaxed even though she knew deep inside she should be on her guard at all times.

Ratchet was happy that the chain broke away as he didn't want to keep smashing the thing with his wrench any more out of fear or breaking the chest and not the chain, and when things were done he saw all the loot in the chest and was happy that Talone would have money to buy potions and what not. He saw her put some star thing in her hair before putting a copper brooch that was gear shaped on him, he looked at it and then blushed a bit at the complement as he said "Y-you look pretty with the hair pin." When the gold chain was put on Big Daddy Ratchet snickered a bit as the Robot looked at the thing then at Ratchet, it then did the whole gangster pose for a second which was enough for Ratchet to fall over laughing loudly.

This caused his scarf to come off and now Talone could see his mouth which was a jagged line on his face, his teeth were like bear trap teeth and the inside of his mouth was a dark crimson red. Ratchet noticed the scarf moving away and quickly shut up and covered his mouth again as he curled up into a ball and said "S-s-s-s-sorry you had to see that....." Ratchet hated his mouth....it scared him.
