Setting Sun (Open)

The sun was setting in the east. There were a few clouds overhead. The sky had patches of white all over. Shades of purple, pink, orange, red, red-orange, and yellow were all spread across the sky. They ran in order it seemed from lightest to darkest. The heat of the night radiated the warmth of the sun. t. It was like a hot southern night.

Niles slowly reached into his pocket as he looked onward at the setting sun. He pulled out a packet of cigarettes. He hit the back of the pack, making one of the cigarettes slide out of the container just a little. He brought the pack to his mouth, placing the filter of the cigarette into his mouth. He slowly pulled the pack away, the cigarette moved completely out of the package. He crumbled the packet into a ball and threw it into a nearby trash can. He slowly pulled out his sliver lighter. Niles flicked it open, pressing down on the the end of the lighter he lit his cigarette. He closed the lighter then returned it to his pocket. Grasping the cigarette between his fingers he inhaled. He pulled the cigarette away from his mouth, placing it as his side. He then exhaled through his nostrils.

Niles sighed.
