Half Past Winter(Aric's Weapon)

Name: Half Past Winter

Type of Weapon: bladed dual pistols

Primary/Secondary: Primary- pistols

Description: a set of two copper colored six-shooters. Both have black handles wish odd copper flecks in them. The barrel is slightly longer than most but what makes these guns differient is that they have serrated foot and a half long steel blades attached. The blades have scratches of copper here and there in the sides. The guns have chains hanging from the handles with a steel snowflake attached at the end.

Elemental Alignment: ice

Ability/Function: 
Frost Bite: when the first bullet lands on the target it decreases ice resistance by 10% for 6 posts.

Lucky Rabbit: fires all 12 rounds(6 in each gun) at the target. Ice damage goes up 5%.


Close/long range: long to short range.  Blades are used for close in attacks while he prefers to be trigger happy from a distance.

History: Aric was given these guns when he was 16 years old. His father was the page of the Court at the time and was at the point of stepping down. He gave him the family weapon just before he died at  the age of 687. By default this made Aric the page and protector of the queen of hearts. He learned a different style of fight that seemed to involve many gymnastic and ballet moves to avoid and precise his attacks in order to better protect the queen, or rather dodge her attacks when she went into a rage.

I'm just curious... being that I'm a lover of Gunblades... so when these are wielded, you're slashing and firing at a target all at once? With both at the same time?

It's more of an either or weapon. He uses them more like knifes if he is fighting close range while at a safer distance he will fire. I wasn't planning o having both bullets and blades used in the same attach like he stabs then shoots all in the same attack. I feel that would make him too powerful and I perfer to keep things fair. It's either stabbing or shoot, not both at thesame time.

My issue comes in that this is a Duel Weapon and you aren't yet cleared for Dual Wielding. I don't mind the character using one at a time, but using both is going to be a definite No.

I'm willing to make exceptions for Monk-style characters using fists and feet (and elbows and knees and shoulders and anything else they can manage), but a weapon set like this is going to make me rather concerned, simply because a rule is a rule is a rule.

Other than that, I can't see anything out of place.

Can have him use one at a time and have like a recharge time so he has to switch guns. Will that work better till I'm cleared?

As long as he's only using one weapon in a single post and including drawing/putting up notations as part of the RP, then I'm okay with it.
