Fight for Protection(kuja, yuffie)

Yuffie busted through the doors and held up a small TV. Sweat was on her forehead that seemed like she ran for a long time. "I... have this.... for you Talone.... way to... keep in touch.... with Lyle." She walked over passed the communicator to her. "Red button turns it on, Green turns it off. Direct link, no people can break the communication unless they see it." She smiled and looked at them both. "I was never here. Got it." Without waiting for their replies she ran out of the room and down the hallway.

She smiled a true smile at seeing Ratchet make her some sort of hair piece. She allowed her thoughts to wander some before ratchet mentioned worrying for here brother. She sighed again and leaned against the counter.
"Very much so. I wouldn't mind leaving him home with Zephyr if that stupid flirty rabbit would just leave him alone."
She bagan to rub her temple before Yuffie came bursting in. She looked as if she had trekked the whole castle. She stared wide eyed at her from her words and the device she placed in her hands. She looked at it oddly and didn't even have a chance to say goodbye.
"Well then....at least I can check on Lyle now."
As she said this she turned the communicator on and watched a clear shot of Lyle's nest bed come into view. He was sound asleep curled up with his stuffed animal from home and a bear fur as a blanket. She couldn't help but smile at the site before her.

Ratchet was putting the finishing touches on the hair piece when he heard what she was worried about and had to make sure he heard her right before he finally said "R-Rabbit?????? What do you mean by a rabbit?? I don't see the problem w-with a girl flirting with your brother...........or is it not a girl......." Ratchet knew about homosexuality so he wasn't sure if the person was male or female here.

Ratchet finally finished the thing and when he was done he jumped onto his counter and walked over to Talone before putting the hairpiece in a strand of her hair to let it hand near the front of her face. He smiled as it looked good on her and said "I-It looks really nice on you."

The hair piece

She flicked the device off and put it in her bag. She sighed some as she prepared for her best explanation of Aric.
"It a man by the name of Aric McTwisp. He's a wererabbit that doesn't understand when a person denies his advances. The first time we met he tried to court me but learned the hard way I wasn't interested. Them when he met my brother....let's just say Lyle is to kind of a person to say no to friends. I don't even remember why I keep him around."
She then blinked in confusion when Ratchet jumpe on the counter and put a feathered hair piece on the side of her head with more hair. She touched it and smiled.
"it's lovely. Thank you."
She felt her soul soar again as this little heartless always seemed to cheer her up.

Ratchet listened to Talone explain who this rabbit was and when he was done messing with her hair he blinked a few times and said "So......this person is a bit of a.....ummm.......nympho?" Ratchet knew that word and if Talone had noticed Ratchet's eyes glowed a bit red a bit when he heard the guy tried to court her but as soon as she said she told him no way in a painful way. Well lets just say Ratchet's red eye disappeared in an instant.

When she said she liked the gift he smiled and hugged her tightly as he said "Glad you like it, the bird that I got the feathers from didn't like me taking feathers though. They very protective of their feathers even after I gave them food." Ratchet remembered running like hell from the peacock he dealt with.

She nodded her head in agreement at ratchet's statement. Her eyes looked slightly glassy as she let him finish putting the piece in her hair. She dis notice that when she had mentioned Aric courting her his happy yellow eyes turned a startling murder red. A somewhat sinister smile creeped over her lips as an idea crossed her thought. She was pulled out of them for a moment when he mentioned what he went though to get the feathers. She gave a real laugh and scooped him up into her arms.
"Is my angel jealous that rabbit courted me? And I thought you were too innocent for such feelings."
She was nearly crushing him to her chest in a loving manner as she smiled deviantly at her angel.

Ratchet didn't expect to get picked up like he was but he didn't mind as he snuggled into her chest and let out a slight purr of enjoyment thought it was more instinctual than on purpose. It was then he heard her comment and he just sort of looked down away from her face as he blushed a bit before saying "Y-yes.....I was a bit....j-jealous...." He pouted a bit now at being caught like he was but it was only a very faint pout and would be easy to get rid of.

she smirked and kissed him on the forehead when he began to pout. It made her giggle in an innocent manner that didn't seem right for a battle scarred woman. She then sat him down on the counter and held a serious look on her face as she gazed into his eyes.
"You think of me as your mate don't you. I can tell by the way you look at me and treat me. In fact*touches clip in hair* this could be considered you trying to court me and asking me to marry you."
a slight evil glint could be seen in her eyes as she began to play with said hair piece as if she hadn't said anything out of the ordinary.

When Talone kissed on him on the head Ratchet let his pout go away and he smiled up at her but then she had to say what she did and that caused his face to turn bright red as he was blushing badly now. His eyes were bugging out and a slight steam was raising from his head due to how hot his face was, he just started to stutter and sputter a bit as he finally said "C-court...m-m-marry.....I-I......." it was then he sort of just overloaded an conked out as he fell over with his face still bright red and his eyes swirling marks as he just laid on the ground.

she thought the deep red blush on his face was down right cute but wasn't expecting him to pass out as he did. she scooped him up as to try and wake him from his overload. she then began to apologize as she got a cloth out of her bag and wiped his forehead.
"I'm sorry my angel, i was just expecting a blush, not you passing out on the ground. I won't tease you again..."
she continued to blot his forehead as she hummed somewhat sadly as if she had guilt for doing this to her little angel.

Ratchet snapped out of it after a bit as he then kissed her on the lips before hugging her close as he said "I-it not your fault I-I just........w-well....I mean I thought that m-me c-c-courting you would upset you........s-since who would w-want something like me courting them....." Ratchet still thought he was still too much of a monster to be loved loved by anyone, he knew that he could gain friends with hard work but a girlfriend or mate or what ever Talone would become was something he figured no one would want to be.

she blinked in confusion from the kiss but held him as he hugged her. she smiled as if she wasn't surprised he want to do something like that and held him closer wanting to cry at the way he thought of himself.
"I wouldn't have been upset, just shocked. Don't doubt yourself and call yourself a monster. I'm more monstrous than you with my inner beast. It would just seem odd as of how well... small you are."
she was slightly pink from her last comment as that was really the only thing preventing her from loving him in such a manner. his child-like appearance made her feel like she was a sick woman falling for an actual child.

Ratchet blinked a few times when she said he was small and he puffed up his chest and tried to make himself look bigger "I'm not small......I'm fun sized......" He hated his small stature but what could he do he would have to eat a human's heart to grow bigger than he was now.

she laughed at this and snuggled him close. She loved his little antics such as when he pouted or tried to prove he was strong. it was just like a child would do, making the guilt of falling for him drift over her again. she put him down and smiled in a happy manner.
"Well at this size you're easier to carry about. Though you being eyelevel with my waist is a bit odd and im rather short for my own race..."
she then stood as if to prove her point. she was very tall for a human female but on the short side for Malogriffs.

Ratchet smiled at the part about being easy to carry around but her second part caused him to rub his head a bit as he then said "The problem is....kinda easy and kinda not easy to fix......I would grow a bit bigger if I ate the heart of a human but...........I don't want to do that......so I can't grow any bigger till I do...." Ratchet fidgeted a bit as he hugged her legs and snugged up against her though the area he snuggling might be a bit weird for Talone.

she looked perplexed at him as he did his best to explain what he would have to do in order to grow. Her eyes went wide at this factor but it did make sense, the more humans a heartless ate the more powerful it became. she looked away for a moment thinking this may scare him but she didn't want to have to keep feeling guilty about her love for the heartless.
"I...I could go get you hearts.... you wouldn't have to stain your hands... I'll even find those with dark hearts so it won't be as bad..."
her tone was low, nearly a whisper as she said this. She hated killing mindlessly but this one was for reason, it would help Ratchet and get rid of some of the dark things roaming the worlds.

Ratchet heard her offer and quickly stared at her for a while as he said "N-no.....you shouldn't do it.....anyway you can't get them out of their body anyway....only heartless and keyblades can make a heart come out of a person's body the right way." Ratchet looked at her for a few moments then said "W-we can go do it together......t-that way we c-can share the burden...."

she looked at him and had a single tear run down her face. She got on her knees and placed her hands on his little shoulders. she looked into his eyes and allowed the darker part of her being to show in her eyes as she spoke.
" I don't want you to see me kill. if there is one thing i would never want you to see me do its kill a human. i don't know when to stop at the site of blood...you can never see me like that..."
he eyes began to burn and her heart throb in remembering when she killed a Novan trying to get out of the city at such a young age. she couldn't stop as she saw all the blood pouring from just one small cut by her claws alone... she shuddered at the thought, closing her eyes in the process.

Ratchet blinked for a while before he said "You can't kill them.....it wouldn't work if you did that. T-the only thing I was going to have you do was find and hold them down.......I-I have to be the one to shove my hand into their body and drag the darkness tainted heart out. " He then figured out that she thought he was eating the organ called the heart and said "A-Also I not eating the organ called the heart.....I-I am eating the thing that makes a human human......their ability to feel emotions and to become corrupt."

as he explained how a heartless devoured hearts and it wasn't the actual beating organ she relaxed slowly. Pinning down a creature was much easier then worrying she would lose control and go all axe murderer in front of Ratchet.
"That changes everything... I can work with that much better than blood all over, dripping..."
she shook her head as her eyes were starting to glaze and appear to have a look of dark intent as she was about to start rambling about killing. It was the beast inside of her talking.

Ratchet saw that she was getting a bit of a blood lust so he quickly wrapped his arms around her and hugged her to help her feel more at ease as he then said "Now we have to find a way to get Kuja to let me go to another area to get some humans.....That is the part that I am worried about the most...."

When he hugged her she was drawn out of those dark thoughts and let out a sigh she apparently was holding in. Ratchet was right about being unable to leave, and she was practically stuck here unless Kuja gave her an order. a thought crossed her mind as she dug in her pockets searching for something.
" You could say you need to go get parts for one of your projects and it can only be found on one of the worlds or..."
she finally found a green whistle in the shape of spirals and held it up infront of Ratchet.
"I could see if Zephyr could bring a few humans here for you. she can sometimes take me places in her twister but since not completely human and not completely a wind creature, its hard for her to take me with her. maybe if i ask nicely she can bring dark humans."

Ratchet thought about it and then said "He won't believe me on the parts thing but the Zephyr one might work.....are you sure she won't mind doing this for us?" Ratchet didn't like making others do his work for him but he had no other choice at the moment.

she smiled, petted his head, and then blew the whistle. she then smiled softer as she waited for the wind to settle.
"Zeph owes me for saving her in wonderland, this will be considered her payment if need be."
said spirit was now sitting before them with a bored look in its eyes. talone quickly asked of what was need to be done and the wolf suddenly looked shock but then sighed. a grin was on talone's face before the wolf was getting ready to leave. Just before she turned into a twister Zephyr gave a deadly glare to the both of them, mainly Ratchet, and took off.
"She'll be back in a few minutes. we're lucky she can feel the darkness in a human's heart just by looking at them."
she then hugged Ratchet with a sense of calmness as she tried to push the thoughts of what they were about to do out of her mind.

Ratchet hide behind Talone when Zephyr gave him a deadly glare but was soon caught in Talone's hug and he hugged her back as he nuzzled his face into her neck and sighed happily as he felt so happy to have Talone with him. His mind though was not happy with what he was about to do in the near future.
