Stranger and stranger*open/Yuffie*

Talone wasn't exactly sure of what to make of this odd world. She had tried what Kuja had told her and force a heartless to open a portal to Deep Jungle but seemed to fail as it was not woods she was in but a mushroom forest. She was confused at their gigantic size and she weaved in-between them during her flight. Various talking animals startled her as a rabbit with a pocket watch ran below her, muttering about being late for something. talone was starting to get Hungry and desided that said rabbit may taste differient than the non talking thin ones of twilight town. It was then that she started circling what appeared to be it's resting place, waiting for it to come out. She took roost in a tall non mushroom tree, perching saintly on a high branch to wait for just the right moment to attack.

Yuffie jumped around as she exited the gummi ship, Caledscope. She stopped jumping as she noticed that this wasn't Traverse Town. "Dang it Caledescoope!" Yuffie yelled as she gave the gummi ship a slight kick and sighed. "Curiousity kills the cat, but I wonder what curiousity does to a ninja." Yuffie thought out as she continued walking past the funny mushrooms. She soon heard someone mumbling, "I'm late, I'm late!" The rabbit jumped past her as Yuffie followed it. "Excuse me mister rabbit! CAn you tell me where I am?" The rabbit didn't turn and talk to her, he just kept on hopping. She followed it to a small rabbit hole and sat down. "Well that is just mean!" Yuffie said as she started to pout, not noticing the person who was roosting on one of the mushroom trees.

The instant she saw movement infront of the rabbit hole she launched herself from the mushroom tree. Her bird like feet were foreward with toes spread and ready to kill. She hit the ground with a loud thud, narrowly missing the rabbit by a hair. She stood up and muttered to herself in chirps as she dusted her clothes off.
"stupid rabbit, guess I'll have to find some still plants to eat instead..."
She did notice the young girl sitting there but chose to ignore her while thinking of the plant life on this world. Many of the animals could talk and think like humanoid creatures but she wasn't so sure about the plants. She went over by a patch of tigerlilies and poked them with her taloned fingers. It quickly hissed and snapped at her, making her crush it in shock. She stood once again and sighed.
"well that ruins that plan."

Yuffie heard a voice and a crash as she looked at teh girl who tried to catch the rabbit.She might know where I am! Yuffie thought as she stood and walked over to the woman. "Um, hiya... My name is Yuffie. I was wondering if you knew what this place was." She glanced quickly at the mushrooms that were all around as if to make a notion that this was one weird place.

She turned to face the girl named Yuffie and shrugged. She was picking flower petals off her palm while she answeredthe girl.
"I think I'm just as lost as you are. I was headed else where but ended up in this tipsy turvy world. Did a heartless take you here on accident?"
She had refrained from chirping and stretched her wings, yawning in the process. She began rummaging through her bag and pulled out some dried meat(dog or rabbit she couldn't remember) and some sunflowers. She took a small piece of meat and tore some off with her teeth. She thought for a moment before offering some to Yuffie.
"Would you like like some? My name is Talone by the way."

"Not really hungry, I just ate. But thank you for offering." Yuffie nicely declined as she pointed to teh direction where she came. "And I wasn't brought here by my stupid gummi ship who decided to malfunction." Yuffie sighed. Here eyes brightened afterward as she smiled at Talone. "My name is Yuffe, nice to meet you Talone."

She quirked an eyebrow at the words gummi ship. She chuckled some as the girl repeated her name to her.she desided to sit down and continue to eat her small snack.
"suit yourself. So what exactly is this 'gummi ship' you speak of? Is it a boat or something?
She dug her toes into the soft dirt perfering it over the concrete roads and town square of Twilight Town. She stared with dull amusement at a catapillar crawling infront of her feet. She reached down, picked it up and noticed it looked like a cat with no tail, many extra legs, and a stretched out body. It hissed at her once but otherwise ignored the larger presence holding it off the ground.
" it literally is a cat-apillar. This place just gets stranger and strangers."

"Well the gummi ship is a ship that lets you go from world to world. It is like a boat kind of..." Yuffie stared as Talone picked up a catapillar that literally looked like a cat. "I agree..." Yuffie said, "Things keep on getting stranger, but I wish to see what curiousity gives a little ninja thief like me. Wanna take a look with me?" Yufffie asked trying to hide the fact that she was scared to go alone.

She put the little guy down on the ground before mulling over the girl's offer. She didn't have much else to do so she took the offer.
"sure I'll explore this place with you, even though I have no clue what a ninja is. Is it your species or class?"
She started to look, sniff, and listen to the area around her to see which direction would be safest to start with.

Yuffie started walking in the worst direction which had evil eyes glowing in the dark as she talked, "A ninja is kind of like an assassin, if you think about." She shrugged and pulled out a kunai. "One way to idenitfy us is by our weapons."

She looked oddly at the weapon, pulling ou one of her Knuckle Dusters. She noticed bothe were smaller in size as they walked.
"a ninja sounds like my race's elite Messengers. I was trained by the best in my flock to be a messenger. "
She put her weapon away and looked atthe plants muttering to themselves and thenmushroom trees looming above them.
"maybe we can find some fresh kill while we're in this place. This dried meat is getting old."

"That would be good." Yuffie smirked as she pulled out another kunai and looked around. Her senses sharpened as she heard a rustle and ran towards it.

She came back with the rabbit praying while she held it up by it's ears. "Should we eat him?" Yuffie asked, still with the eyes of her sharpened senses.

"Please don't eat me! The queen will have all our heads if I'm late!"

"Think he is telling the truth?" Yuffie asked as she looked the rabbit in the eye.

She stared at the animal with a hungry look inher eyes. She poked it in it's belly and it tried to kick her. She dug a hand into one of it's pockets and pulled out some sort of paper with a series of decrees on it. She looked at then paper and then to the rabbit.
"I personally don't care about your 'queen' very much for her list of new laws are ridiculus. I don't want to get hungry when there is a nice fat rabbit before me."
She saw the poor thing shiver and babbled on and on about the queen. It was starting to annoy her to where her toes were pulling u grass.
"fine , let the blabbering fool go, but if I so mug as catch your scent I'll skin you and fry you in butter."

"Count your blessings rabbit." Yuffie said codly as she let the rabbit go. Her stomach grumbled. "Shut up stomach!" Yuffie yelled as she poked her stomach. "Maybe we could kill his rabbit queen." Yuffie thought outloud as she watched the rabbit hop off.

Talone looked inside her bag and took out the sunflower seeds to give to Yuffie. She pondered over killing a nicer, fatter rabbit queen and caused her mouth to water. She noticed a small pond next to them with some sort of fish swimming in them. She got an idea just by watching the creatures swim in mindless circles.
"Here the may be able to hold your hunger off while I try and catch some fish."
She then walked over to the pond before flying up in the air and swooping down with her feet first. She ended up getting hold of a rather heavy fish that was the color of the rainbow. She put it on the ground and watch it flop around for a moment.
I'm jus gonna guess this is this world's version of a rainbow tuna."

Yuffie took the sunflower seeds and munched as she watched Talone catch a fish. When Talone put the fish on the ground and just let it flop around Yuffie flipped. "You're not supposed to let it flop! It's go back to the water!" She ran to grab the fish by the mouth. When she finally got it by the mouth, the fish went still. "If you hold a fish a cetain way, they will go paralyzed."

((ooc: I can say this is absolutely true, I have gone fishing with my father who has been fishing since the age of 3 and he taught me the right way to paralyze them :3))

She nearly burst laughing seeing yuffie panic over a fish. She analyzed the fish closely to make sure it wasn't another strange talking animal and finally agreed it was fine to eat. She pulled out some cooking tools from the second bag on her belt and looked around for some branches to start a fire.
"How are we going to cook this without normal wood? I'm not so sure how well mushroom tree will burn."
As she said this she looked a tree up and down debating on cutting a smaller tree down and test light a piece of it.

Yuffie grinned as she pulled out some flint wood. "Ninja's are always prepared!" She grinned as she looked at Talone. "The only thing I am not prepared for is fire..." She gave a small laugh hoping that Talone had a way to make fire while she set up the wood.

She looked at the resources they had and thought for a moment. She then pulled out a small purple bottle from her pocket and took the tigerlily she had crushed earlier and set them on an old tattered cloth. She tore some of the cloth and wrapped the tigerlily petals in it, tying it shut. She then put a few drops of liquid from the bottle on it. putting on her Knuckle Dusters she scraped the bladed claws together causing sparks to come from the contact. Just one little spark caused the cloth and petals to grow aflame. She used her weapons to push it under the set wood while making soft fanning motions with her wings.
"I guess carrying fermented Walthissle Juice finally came in handy."
She corked the bottle containing the liquid once more and slipped it into her pocket. He then started to prepare the fish once the fire was bright enough.

Yuffie watched Talone as she lit the fire. "Wow, what did you use to light the fire!?" Yuffie as remembering how it would take her one hour to make a fire. She stared at the flames and quickly smelled the smoke. "Fire's are so pretty!" She said excitingly as she moved her hand across the fire where she knew she couldn't get burned.

She was close to finishing the preparation of the fish as she explained.
"I learned how to work with lightning when I was little. When you put a few drops of fermented Walthissle juice, I believe humans call it wine, on cloth it become highly flammable. It's really easy to light with a small spark."
As she pulled the last of the uneatable parts and skewered it with a piece of thin wood. She stuck it in the ground next to the fire and let it cook, sprinkling a little salt on it.

"Wow... must've tooken you a long time to learn how to do that....." Her face went blank as she realized that Talone just used wine. "Please tell me that was young wine, and not older than forty-nine years." Yuffie said as she looked up at Talone. Her face showed horror as she prayed in her mind that this person did not just waste wine.... that maybe she could've left a drop for her.

For the first time in a while, Talone laughed. She pulled the small bottle out of her pocket and uncorked the top, allowing it's strong sour scent fill the air.
"you don't have to panic. The plant it's made from rots easily, making it the best to turn to wine. It takes about two years to get anywhere decent but 5 is when it's perfect. Only downside to it is that just a simple spoon full of the 5 year wine make the strongest of men weak in the knees and slur their words."
She notices the fire dying down some and took the tiny drop clinging to the cork and pu it on the flame. It instantly roared back to life.
"See? Highly flammable. "

Yuffie's eyes sparkled as she heard that it could make the strongest men weak in the knees. "Do you have two bottle more of that stuff?" She asked with a sly grin as the flames lit up in front of her face.

She was a bit hesitant to answer her with that grin on the ninja's face. She looked to her bag and then to the area around them. They still didn't know what this world held ad she didn't want them to be vulnerable if they were attacked.
"this is the only bottle I have and I don't think it would be a good idea to become merry when we are in an unknown world. Now eat, fish is done."
At this she removed the fish from the flame and tore a piece off with her fingers. It was light and flaky but tastes faintly of something sweet.
