Heart of the storm(Lyle's weapon)

Name: Heart of The Storm

Type of Weapon: long staff.

Primary/Secondary: primary: staff(magic and physical)

Description: stands 7 ft tall when it is set on the ground.it is a dark almost black metal with gold trim. It has a glowing blue stone nestled in-between the forks and a smaller on at the other end of the staff. The stone set inside the forked top will give off small sparks every so often when not in use, the sparks become bigger when fighting. 

Elemental Alignment: thunder

Ability/Function: shoots single bolts of electricity from the blue stone. Can place an electrical charge in the forked pieces so when stabbed through an enemy it does slightly more damage. If castes spells are used only spells of thunder and healing can be used.

Close/long range: mainly long range but can be used as a mid range weapon if enemy draws too close.

History: talone had found it for him shortly after he appeared in twilight town. She noticed since he had left Noralia  he had a strong control over magic, mainly that of the thunder element. She traveled out to Hallow Bastion one night while he was asleep and bought him his first weapon hoping it would do him well if she isn't there to protect him.

Okay, explain what you mean by being used for thunder and healing magic.

Magic is spells. Spells are a different section alltogether if you're intending the weapon itself to cast. Or does it increase his strength with those types of spells? In which case I'd need a percentage idea of what kind of boost to his Magic Power Score you're looking at for him.

We do allow one free "attack" ability that can emulate a weapon skill or spell as part of the Abilities, so long as that ability is not abused when being used against other players. NPCs or random mobs on the other hand can be fodder as long as you aren't stupid with it.

Also, Primary or Secondary is in relation to this weapon's position, not how it's utilized. Is this his primary weapon, in which case it will be in the dominant hand or regularly equipped or is this a secondary weapon which is only used under certain circumstances?

If you can clarify this for me then I can see if there's anything else I need to address.

That is the only type of magic it can use minus the electrical sparks it releases when in use. It cannot use any other element of magic but Thunder and healing. It has no real boost abilities just what it element it can and cannot use. I'm going to fix it so it makes more sense.

It has been changed to make more sense now.

Okay, so it's *limiting* what he can do?

Hmm . . . he *is* listed as a Spellcaster, so he does have the spells option . . .

I'm just trying to wrap my head around what you're trying to accomplish here and be sure that you aren't unnecessarily limiting yourself because Party members are already limited enough.

Are you saying that he needs the staff to cast spells of Thunder or Healing? Or that he can ONLY use Thunder or Healing spells while using the staff?

When using this staff he can only cast Thunder and healing. I'm aware I'm limiting him but he is a weak character in creation.

As long as you're aware that this limits him more than usual, since we choose not to Element-lock characters here.

I can't see anything that would stand out as being objectionable, though if I'm missing something doubtless someone will speak up.

So unless someone points out a flaw I missed . . .
