A rather bored mage *ONE ON ONE*

OOC: Also I do NOT want to see super post.....I know I know they are impressive and if I was reading a fanfic I would enjoy them, but I have to respond to them and that is VERY hard to do with me having to go back and forth between this post box and your post. So please for my sanity.....keep the post from being too long, or just don't fight me.

IC: Olympus Coliseum was not exactly the type of world a certain angel of death was used to, it was far smaller and seemed to be limited in what one could do naturally here. He looked up to see the large Coliseum and figured that if anything it would be interesting to see what is has inside, with that the six foot tall mage walked toward the structure all the while his tail was hidden in his clothing as he did not like people seeing his genome tail. He scanned the place over and his violet eyes showed little to no interest in the trophies that where there, he then turned to look at a small and rather portly goat man.

The goat man known as Phil by many looked up at Kuja with a confused look as well as he then said "Hey buddy, what do you want?" Kuja was not amused by the man's lack of manners but ignored it as he said "I simply wish to find someone or something to fight." "Ya ya go somewhere else pretty boy." said Phil as he didn't think Kuja would last against any heartless. Kuja glared at him and quickly caused one of the orbs of his weapon to form and smash into the ground right in front of Phil's feet leaving a nice little dent in the stone, Kuja then said "What did you say......?" Phil quickly learned this was one of those magic using types he heard about, he knew better than to mess with them least he get turned into a frog or something so he said "N-nothing......go ahead inside......I-I'll get something set up for you...."

Kuaj nodded as he then entered the arena area that seemed......impressive enough as is, with that he got into main area and was being faced off against a large body heartless and some soldier ones. He quickly dispatched the soldier heartless when they tried to get near him, he had even kicked one so hard it flew into the large body and stunned it a bit. He quickly darted around the large beast and fired all seven orbs into its back ripping it apart, Kuja was now alone in the ring as he said "Oh that was just dreadfully boring......."

Watching from the stands, Shade sighed in disgust.

Great, just great. A stadium for show offs.

With a deep scowl, she marched down the stairs slowly. From the looks of the individual below, she expected plenty of arrogance to be thrown her way.

She leaped down the wall from the stands and proceeded to stalk forward until she reached the middle of the ring, yet standing a safe distance from the challenger.

"Heard you were bored...."

Kuja was about ready to level the area to the ground when finally someone approached as he turned to look at her before she even spoke up, he could sense her low level of magical energy and figured she would at the very least make a good warm up. He looked her over and figured that based on her choice in weapon and clothing she was more of a melee attacker, that did disappoint him as he wished he could at the very least meet a fellow magic user.

When she then said that she heard he was bored he simply said "That is quite right, may I at the very least inquire what your name is before we duel. I find it only proper to show manners to someone who is about to give me some entertainment, I am known as Kuja former Angel of Death." Kuja only said former due to how he did not enjoy that title due to its connection to Terra.

A mysterious wind blew as a portal opened at the very top, left corner of the stadium. From the blackened abyss walked an obvious member of the Organization. Cloacked in the usual black uniform, hood erect, the figure sat down and crossed his right leg over his left. Emerald eyes peered out from underneath the hood, watching as the young woman stepped down the stairs. She was heading directly for the center of the arena grounds as she was greeted by a rather arrogant, unknown man.

The man in the arena seemed to focus merely on magics, hiding behind them and using them as a safety net perhaps, yet only time would tell of his true character.

The woman on the other hand seemed to be more apt to fight hand to hand combat, brute force and naturally trained strength would be her aid.

The 13th member of the Organization sat very still and silent, tuning his attention into the scene placed before him. A battle would soon erupt and only time would tell just how this battle was going to turn out.

Shade tilted her head slightly as she studied the stranger closely, but not just in appearance alone. She valued her talent of hearing more in one's voice than in the word's he spoke. She sensed he held her confrontation at least in some high regard, but that would be the extent of his respect.

Her fingers twitched beneath the prod of her crossbow weapon, prepared to take action at any given time. When he spoke his name, Shade nearly rolled her eyes, but held herself in check. Her thoughts, on the other hand, were dripping with sarcastic annoyance. ...ugh! what is it with me running into Angel figures all the time!"

She pressed her lips tight. Even if she bothered to voice her inquires of a possible coincidence, she already knew it would be a waste of breath. Instead, Shade replied with a mellow tone in her voice. "Shade Leonhart. No former to anything."

With a sniff of irritation to the air, she gave him a curt nod. "Ready when you are..."

Kuja sensed the magical energy of the other being and saw him in the corner of his eye but paid him no mind, not when he has a fully armed young woman facing him down. He did though arch his eyebrow a bit due to how she reacted to his title a bit, he didn't see much but his days of watching plays made him good at seeing little changes in a person's face.

He choose however to leave the subject alone and focus on her weapons, he looked them over and found that she carried a range weapon and a sword which meant he would have to be ready to dodge around arrows for a while. He then heard her comment and simply snapped his fingers as he hovered over the ground, the seven orbs appeared and orbited around him for a moment before he flew directly toward her. He had his orbs ready to block her arrows and if she tried to hit him with her sword his orbs would go and block that as well, when he got close enough he did a roundhouse kick which made him spin around with one of his pointed boots slicing through the air. If it hit Shade would have a rather nasty hole in her left side, if she dodged he would just continue going forward while the orbs would move to cover his back. He would then take to the air and plan his next move from there.

When he snapped his fingers and immediately began to float, Shade watched closely before making a move just yet. Then the orbs appeared, which cinched her decision. With a small step back and a shift to her stance, her stark white wings erupted from her back to instantly expanded to their complete span.

At the same time, she aimed her crossbow weapon and fired a round of 5 rapid arrows at Kuja, then with one great push downward of her wings, leapt to the air, leading Shade to soar straight up to the sky as this foe charged toward her.

She simply assumed he could follow her since he had an air born ability. Her body twisted while in flight and her wings arched appropriately to keep up the speed and distance between them as she now flew backwards to aim and fire another round at him once more. Not knowing what these orbs were made of, or what every purpose they served, Shade watched closely while in flight to see if any of her 10 arrows destroyed them, or reflected her attacks all together.

Kuja was a bit well he was finding it rather refreshing to find a fellow user of the sky, he had fought so many Earthbound foes before so this would be a welcome change of pace. It was then he saw the arrows coming at him and with that he had the orbs move and make a bit of a shield out of themselves, the arrows pinged off the orbs as they had the consistency of iron cannonballs. He did the shield thing once more when the next five arrows came and they pinged off as well, as the orbs moved back to orbit him he flicked his hair back a bit and said "You must do better than that Shade."

He then activated his enchantment that caused his orbs to lock onto Shade's body, he then fired out all Seven though with two directly at her, three straight up, and then one went right and one went left of him. But the lock on caused all the orbs even the ones not shot directly at her to arch toward her, she now had orbs coming from the front, orbs coming from above, and an orb coming at her from each side. They would chase her till she made them crash into something, or someone if she didn't mind using Roxas as a human shield. Kuja thought kept his wits about him as he knew she coudl shoot at him while on the move.

((ugh…..I hope *this* one’s better cause I’m not re-doing another one o.- ))


Seeing the random orbs come at her from three directions simply pissed Shade off. Seven attacks at once, oh how quaint for a coward. She took her stance and raised her arm to cast and fire her Prime Gale spell which sent the prod section of her weapon to fire only a foot away from her outstretched hand and spin wildly in place like a small tornado in hopes to take on some of the brunt of the oncoming orbs.

When they came near impact, Shade took a leap back and used the force of her wings to beat against the air and swiftly carry her backwards in the only direction one of Kuja’s circus balls wasn’t coming at her from.

After ((whatever it is these things do?)) Shade’s prod took to it’s boomerang effect and returned to the stock strapped to her arm where she then fired her arrows upon Kuja again.

OOC: Roxas get in here and help her already, you suppose to be a moderately good guy. That and I want to beat you up.....damn blonds...

IC: Kuja arched his eyebrow in a bit of confusion as to what the devil this Shade girl was doing but either way he then watched as she avoided all his orbs by getting out of the way just in time. He wasn't impressed as it was an obvious choice to anyone with some training, either way he then had to move about in the air to avoid the arrows though one missed his head by only a few inches which got his attention. He clapped his hands a bit when the arrows stopped flying as he said "Very good very good you almost hit me, now I know I can be serious with you."

With that new orbs appeared after a moment as he then aimed all of them directly at her as they would follow her around now and the little dodging trick she used on the last orbs wouldn't work this time. He now just watched as he was the type to enjoy the show and enjoy it he would.

Mocking little ingrate.... apparently he thought he was an impressive sort.

She had to time this right. Shade knew he would conjure so those stupid balls again and she swiftly flew forward with a massive swoop of her wings straight in Kuja's direction and firing a round of arrows at the same time. She jerked her body upwards just in time as the orbs were conjured to go straight up into the sky directly above him.

As Shade looked over shoulder, sure enough, Kuja's little toys were hot on her tail. She twisted and made a hard right through the air and just when she witnessed the orbs do the same, yet at a slower pace, Shade immediately dove straight down toward the ground.

This time her wings swept through the air a a mad pace, and with the help of natural gravity, Shade's speed increased even more as she made a direct nose dive at Kuja. He would know she was coming.

She raised her weapon again and fired rapidly, not really paying close mind to her aim. Timing was everything in this now. The arrows raining down upon him were merely for distraction as she closed in at a maddening pace. Within just feet of Kuja, Shade's wings snapped wide as she arched her body to swoop over him, leading the orbs to follow, now soaring in Kuja's direction for the ground.

Kuja orbs had appeared just in time to block the first round of arrows before they flew after her so he was safe from that barrage but then she few up into the air and started to have his orbs right after her, he was not quite sure what she was up to though but then he saw her going toward the ground and then toward him of all people. The arrows were not aimed well so he could avoid them with a bit of work but then he saw her fly over him but by then he could sense the orbs magic with his sixth sense, he quickly turned off his floating ability without looking and dropped toward the ground. The orbs just missed him as he then turned his ability back on and turned to look at the woman as the orbs followed after her, he then said "Very clever indeed." He flew away from her though not taking his eyes off her as he didn't enjoy having his orbs nearly hit him.

Looking over shoulder again, Shade's eyes narrowed. So he had a few tricks up his sleeve a well....

Then she needed a target that simply didn't move. She continued flying straight forward toward the encasing walls of the coliseum, allowing the orbs to gain distance from behind her to be sure they would hit their mark. With a hard jerk to left. Shade was so close against the wall, that the surface scratched against her chest, causeing her hands to push against the wall to help push her off while still in flight.

The orbs collided into the wall as Shade continued her speed in flight and veering in Kuja's direction again. She fired her arrows yet again, this time those that held the thunder element for a bit more sting.

What happened next didn't surprise Kuja due to how well he expected her to use that trick again to get rid of the orbs, as they smashed into the wall they left some slight marks in the rock. With them gone Kuja was able to produce a new seven and with that he had them form the shield like formation once more to make the arrows ping off again. Though he did see the flash of lighting that happened when the arrows hit, he now knew not to try to shoot them at her due to how she was a bit too fast to be caught like that.

So he changed tactics to one where he would help guide the orbs to her and that would me only one thing, as she flew toward him he shot off toward her using the orb as a shield and a ram. If she didn't move quick enough he would smash right into her with the orb wall and though it wouldn't have as much force as him shooting them it would do some damage to her.

OOC: I've had too much on my hands lately to jump in, but I think now is as good a time as ever. Also...Kuja...nobody likes an arrogant prick. Just throwing that one out there.

IC: Roxas watched the fight going on before him intently. The Magician continued to rely on his orbs of magics to fight while the angel-like creature avoided them with her illustrious speed. This was quite an interesting match, yet it needed to be spiced up a bit.

The Organization member kept his hood erect and slowly stood. He began to clap his hands together, applauding the two gladiators in the arena. As Roxas continued to clap he began to levitate. An aura of darkness soon surrounded his entire body. The winds picked up heavily in the Coliseum, changing directions rapidly as the hooded Nobody drifted slowly down the steps. Soon he would arrive in the arena himself.

A moment later Roxas summoned his two powerful keyblades, Oblivion and Oathkeeper. This was going to spice things up for sure. It was going to be an interesting battle.

"I would ask to interject in your little party Magician...yet I'm not a gentleman..."

Roxas was fully prepared for anything the stranger had to throw at him. He relied on meely magic, yet his magic would run out eventually. The woman had already drained some as she continued to dodge with her speed.

The hooded man turned to Shade and nodded, his identity still unknown, unless the keyblades gave him away. "Things are about to get ugly...for HIM! Let's give it our best, he'll be sorry!"

Shade landed across the ground of the arena with a skid that flew dust and debris into the air. Just as she was about to take aim upon Kuja again, the sound of a single slow paced applaud echoing about the empty stands caught her attention.

Well, well… she thought. It seemed the stranger finally became too bored of watching. What Shade didn’t know was, if this was to be even more of a challenge to her current situation. For now she positioned herself in such a way where she could keep her watchful gaze upon both Kuja and the stranger as he landed upon the ground.

When the cloaked figure finally spoke, then Shade raised an eyebrow at Kuja. A faint smirk crept across her lips as an unusual gleem of arrogance flashed across her eyes.

“Well, Kuja? You got enough “balls” to take us both on?”





((OOC: I’m sorry!! I couldn’t RESIST!! XD ))

Kuja had missed Shade when the two flew at one another and when he heard the clapping he looked at the person in the corner of his eye, it was that one man who was watching the fight and now it seemed the person was going to join in and even help this Shade girl. That he did not mind but the constant mocking and annoying comments were starting to make his blood boil as he then said "Very well you two if you wanted me to be serious then you have succeeded. Congratulations on bringing a very large amount of pain to your lives." With that Kuja's body exploded in power as energy was now swirling and billowing around his body, his hair had changed to crimson red and even his eyes became red and full of rage.

His clothing changed as now he had certain parts of him covered with a fur like coat that looked like feathers, his body even had a golden glow around it while the orbs grew a bit larger due to the 15% increase in power they gained. Kuja was now in his Trance form and this was his level 3 version, but no he was not done yet no he would make them suffer and have to struggle for their lives. He snapped his fingers as the orbs changed again as now all seven were covered in spikes that looked like the blades found on a sword as they were an inch long, simply put touching those orbs would NOT feel good in the least. Soon the orbs started to spin slowly at first but they were starting to spin faster and faster every few seconds, but Kuja would not let the two watch this no they would dance for him now.

The orbs started to glow with a black color before all seven started to shoot out small bullet sized blast of darkness, all seven were targeting Shade as they were spitting out the blast almost as fast as SMG's though the accuracy was a bit low but when you have a wall of these things flying at you well it doesn't really matter. The bullets were also 15% stronger due to Kuja's Trance State and while Shade was busy Kuja looked at Roxas and said "Now burn......." He aimed his hand at the boy and fired a fira strength fireball at the man and though it wasn't huge the fireball was plenty big.

Roxas chuckled as he saw the rather petite spikes protruding from the orbs. This was going to be fun. He began to clap his hands once more, mocking Kuja before taking a defensive position, ready for anything his opponent would throw at him.

Roxas was prepared to dodge the orbs, yet he was surprised when Kuja tossed a fireball his way. It mattered not, Roxas was already airborne, he could handle a little heat. He waited until the opportune moment to budge. The 13th member jumped high into the air as the fireball passed underneath, barely touching the tail of his cloak. Roxas could feel a little warmth from the attack, but it only excited him more about the battle.

"I'd like to move on to the second course now sir...perhaps it'll be better than the appetizer..."

(( OOC: Sorry I’m late!! I’ve been SWAMPED! O.O And I have NO FLIPPING idea what I‘m doing! >< >< >< Kuja!! You goober!! XDD))


Shade was getting sick of this “ball” crap. Seriously. Didn’t this guy know how to fight like a real man instead of having to hide behind an over load of magic!?

She was airborn again, since that was the only thing she could do. And as before, she had to do some trick flying to have any chance. First these darkness bullets. Oh yeah, that was fancy hocus pocus alright. She kept close to the wall again like before, bit this time went into a frenzy of zig-zag directions since the blasts were by far more in numbers for them to explode and rip up the arena instead of herself.

What blasts did strike her legs, Shade soared up to the sky after the attacks and conjured her Curaga spell. Her wings wrapped around her and the healing mist was casted. Just before her body would’ve fallen to the ground, Shade’s wings erupted, and in a giant sweep through the air, she landed next to Roxas in a defensive pose.

With a scoff of annoyance from her throat, Shade sneered in Kuja‘s direction as she spoke to her companion. “Watch… them “balls” of his are getting bigger.”

Kuja was getting bored now as the female had degraded into acting like a child while the young man simply made snide comments from afar, he then said "You two are boring me, please act like warriors and fight instead of making comments. Otherwise I will just ignore you both and kill innocent civilians in order to make you both take this seriously." Kuja could easily do that due to how the only flier was the female and his orbs were more than enough to keep her at bay. As this went on the orbs were now spinning at top speed and would be dealing out an extra thirty percent more damage on top of the fifteen percent gained from the form.

Kuja now waited for them to act as he was tired of being the one having to do all the work in this fight.

OOC: I'll post a.s.a.p. College and my two jobs are killing me right now so I don't have much time to be on here. I'll be on as often as I can, however.

The 13th member titled his head back towards the heavens as he opened his mouth to release a laughed at his friend's comments of Kuja's balls. He then slammed his twin keyblades together, causing sparks to fly before he soared in towards Kuja. "Do you really think the lives of innocents cause me to fret? I have no emotions towards anyone, I'm a nobody, HELLO!!! Yet if it's a battle you seek, look no more. Get ready!" Roxas had a style of up close and personal. He enjoyed teasing his foes, yet when it was time for him to strike, he wanted to see the look in their eyes, he wanted to feel the emotions they were feeling. Oh how he longed for a good battle.

As The Guardian closed in towards Kuja, he pulled his Oblivion keyblade back, ready to strike. Roxas rolled whilst in the air to the right and slashed at Kuja's waist. With his Oathkeeper keyblade he did a jabbing move towards Kuja's chest. Roxas then rolled once more, staying airborne.

OOC: Short , but better than nothing.

Kuja noticed that the Shade female had chosen to stay back and think her next course of actions out fully and carefully, wise choice on her part but he then listened to the boy yet again blabber on about having no emotions and what not. He then simply shrugged and said "Is that so....then I suppose killing you would be an act of kindness, allow me to free you from this world so that you can disappear you worthless husk." Kuja watched the boy charge at him and when the slashes came toward his body the orbs quickly moved into position though only two did so.

One orb moved to block the slash from the black blade while the other moved to block the stab from the white blade, as that happened sparks could be seen flying due to the blade like spikes on the orbs were smashing against the blade of the two keyblades. Kuja watched the boy move away from him and with that he simply chuckled and said "Oh was that the best you can do, if so you are more pathetic than the dusk nobodies I have to deal with from time to time."

With that Kuja snapped his fingers as the orbs shined white for a moment before seven beams of holy light shot out and flew right at Roxas, this was Kuja's holy spell and it could deal out quite a bit of damage if it hits.

Roxas merely scoffed at Kuja's worthless comebacks. His meaningless words fell upon the 13th member's deafened ears.

"Your comebacks are quite pathetic, they are even worse than your ridiculous fighting skills. I've been more scared of fluffy bunnies than your orbs...This is boring...and the likes of YOU actually thinks that you can kill me...that's a laugh..."

With that Kuja had sent forth even more orbs, surprise surprise. Roxas stood still, watching closely as none of the orbs actually landed a hit upon his flesh. He then prepared to dodge anything that Kuja could throw his way.

OOC: Short, but it's enough after working a 12 and a half hour shift...goin to bed now...

OOC: What orbs did I shoot at you? I used the Holy spell that is common of Final Fantasy games.
