We need Conflict

Honestly it has occurred to me that we have absolutely no enemies on this website and no conflict, thus it creates no storyline to start. Lavi has said that he is willing to create an enemy for the website when school starts and when he has his laptop to create it. So soon there will be conflict! X3

I love how everyone gets along, but honestly, In Character we can't all just be happy all the time. I think we all could use some improvement in the RP area and we actually need to start acting like our characters, for those who have a canon character.

So in closing, conflict is what we need. Any ideas on how to get new members here that would help in that area?

There is a solution, but I don't know how willing people are to use it.

NPC villains.

Say you wanna RP that your character has a great rival or something, or there's something that you wanna highlight that doesn't get attention because we all play nice with each other.

So you introduce an NPC to your threads that IS that Great Rival or you have an NPC say the pointedly biased things that other players won't.

Like...

Kairi's walking down the hallway of her school and one of the other students makes a catcall and a rather rude comment about how she's got a harem started with Riku and Sora.

Or what I'm doing with Kairi's Mother. That's an NPC villain. From the beginning, since we haven't had much in the way of villainy, I've cast Kairi's Mother as the source of most of Kairi's internal conflict between the strong warrior-healer we KNOW she can be (Keyblade wielder and all) and the fact that she can't pull her wrist out of a man's grasp when he's dragging her off to be used as bait in a trap. Her mother is also the focus of conflict regarding her relationship with Riku.

In the interests of story and getting characters active, I'm willing to allow some leeway with NPC villains.

New members would be a good thing, yes. But sometimes people tend to take that whole "character villain" thing too far and start acting like pains in the seat in some "method RP" concept that says that since the character is a jerkwad, they've gotta be a jerkwad.

But even if we don't get new members, I'd like to see more activity with the ones we DO have.

I'll go track down Sora again. Maybe we can come up with some more ideas.

@Roxas: I have a few other RPG sites from my sister.... if they will work.... but maybe meh sis mite be willing to join to do a little conflict like she does on other website <.<
I can try to put stuff on the websites, and I will try to get people interested X3
@Grizz: AGREE, but sadly I do not have internet and in the summer of 2012 I mite not be able to get on at even the library as I will most likely be in Greece, France, or Italy for a scholarship thing <.<

Ok, just do what you can Yuffie. I put up a simple advert video on Youtube, maybe it'll help a little bit.

See if your sister would like to join us and blow some stuff up. Also post up an advertisement on the other sites, feel free to copy and paste the advert video I made or make your own, whichever you desire. Thanks for your help.
