Say Hello (Sora)

Ren smiled as she danced on the beach. Yuffie was a little more lenient to her and allowed her to go around now, only she had to tell first. Xy was almost done with her mating season of the pixies. She then stopped while giggling as she saw a ship in the distance.

To her dismay, she noticed it was Captain Hooks ship. She turned away from the beach as she ran into the forest hoping to get away from the Pirate and his crew.

Sora had decided on a whim to go to Neverland for a while.

It seemed he was exploring places outside Twilight Town more and more often, mostly to give Riku and Kairi some space, though he wished that they'd be able to go wandering with him eventually.

He'd always wanted the three of them to go exploring together.

So that was how he ended up in Neverland, seeing Captain Hook's ship showing up in the distance and a girl running away from it and off the beach.

Now, Sora had some issues with Captain Hook's ship himself. That was where he'd been confronted by Riku about Kairi's condition back during his first journey, when she'd been like a doll and he'd been carrying her Heart.

So he wasn't in a hurry to wander aboard again.

He motioned to the girl. "Hey, come up here!" He was near some trees that could be good for hiding in. "I'll help you!"

Ren skidded to a stop as she turned and saw him. "Really?!" Ren asked as she jogged toward the boy. "My name is Ren." She said as she was now infront of the boy. After Hooke took her when she was younger, she definently did not want to meet up with him again. She took a deep breathe and smiled at him.

He grinned at her and helped her climb up into the tree so that Captain Hook and his Pirates didn't see either of them. "Hi, my name's Sora. Don't like the pirates, huh? I don't like these pirates either."

He made sure that they were both hidden behind the leaves of the tree and waited for the Pirate ship to move on its way.

"So what brings you to Neverland? You don't look like a Lost Boy to me."

"I'm not originally from Neverland, but I grew up here. Thanks to Hooke." She said as she watched the beach from her tree. "And I'm not a Lost Boy! I'm a Lost Girl! The very first!" Ren gave a slight glare to Sora as she scratched her head. "It's easy to mistake me as one though, so I understand."

Sora looked at her for a moment and then grinned. "A Lost Girl, huh? Sounds interesting!"

He kept one eye on the ship in the distance and the other on Ren as they waited for the pirates to move on ... for all that it seemed like they didn't WANT to move on. What in the worlds were they waiting for?

"So, how'd you end up here? You said Hook was involved. I don't much like him, not my kind of pirate."

"Hooke took me from my parents.... or atleast that is what the pixies say." Ren said as she watched the pirate ship just sit there. "The reason why I am aged from a baby was the pixies got me to another world, on which I grew up. I came back three years ago, and then left, and now here I am again." She said as she extended her hands out. "All thanks to the one thing that brings me back, my heart!" She gave a hearty laugh as she turned in a circle and smiled.

Sora was about to say something when he noticed the rowboat in the water and bit back a word that Kairi would look at him and shake her head in sorrow if she thought he knew.

"Ren, looks like we need to get out of here quick. I don't know if they spotted you before we hid or if they're just looking for something else, but the pirates are coming HERE, so we need to go somewhere ELSE."

Normally he'd fight them. He loved a good fight. But there was a girl here and Kairi'd frown at him and Riku'd hit him on the back of the head if he started a fight with Ren here.

He grinned at her, though. "Yeah, I know what you mean about your heart taking you home again. Somehow I always end up back with my friends that way. They're my home more than where we happen to live."

"I agree with running!" Ren said as she grabbed her hand and ran in the other direction away from the beach. "We can talk as soon as we hit the pixie's land!" Ren said as she started north to the pixie dust. When she reached the area, she sat under a tree and smiled at all the pixies flying around with the pixie dust fluttering. "So your hearts with you friends huh?" Ren asked.

Sora took off running with Ren's hand in his grasp. He wasn't going to let the pirates carry her off to who knows where and he knew that the Pixies were friendly enough sometimes.

Particularly if Ren was a friend of theirs.

There were a few good paths through Neverland and he didn't know them as well as Ren did. He'd really only seen the island in the distance when he was on Hook's ship back during that first journey.

Ren grinned as the pixies started to braid her hair and sound in different noises. "Secret to pixies, their names have an attachment to the noise they make. Tinkerbell sounds like a bell, and my pixie sounds like a xylophone, thus the name Xy." The tickled a pixie who started to giggle like a chime. "Chimer, she always misses me." Ren's eyes got dazed as she watched the pixies flutter around.

Sora looked at all the pixies that appeared to surround Ren and had to smile. It was definitely apparent that they liked her and that she liked them.

Family.

It's what it felt like some days with Riku and Kairi for him, why he kept going back to the Old Mansion in Twilight Town where the three of them lived.

Sora took a deep breath, at least they were safe for the moment from the pirates. "Yeah, Ren, my heart is with my friends."

"Atleast your heart is with somebody." Ren said as she stood. The pixies started to flutter out of her way and went to Sora. A little pixie, who looked smaller than her index finger, flew to Sroa and poked him as it made a chirp sound. "I think Chirper like you." Ren said with a giggle.

Sora chuckled as the tiny pixie approached him.

"Hello, Chirper." In all honesty, he was rather pleased by the attention. He held out one hand for the little pixie to land on, if that was her wish and smiled at her before looking at Ren.

"Ren, your heart is here, with the pixies. Anything else shouldn't matter." He smiled again. "My friends have my heart, but they also have each other's hearts. Even if I'm always simply a 'friend', we're still bound together. We're still family. That's what matters, more than anything else."

He knew he wasn't good at explaining these things, but he hoped Ren understood.

"I think I understand." Ren said as she nodded. "But I think Chirper is starting to like you."

The little pixie had sat on Sora's hand and smiled as she waved to the other pixies who saw.

Sora chuckled.

"I think I'm starting to like Chirper." It was actually true. She was a particularly adorable little pixie, and being small as she was it meant that she could hide in things fairly easily. Kairi had the one white-feathered chick she kept nearby ... why couldn't he have a small friend?

He looked at Chirper for a moment. "What do you think, Chirper?"

Chirper smiled as she let out a chirp noise and snuggled on Sora's hand. Ren giggled at the sight. Xy smiled as she flew around the pixie and let pixie dust sparkle on it. It was then that the tiny pixie grew to the size of his middle finger, and yawned as it stretched and got up to see the sight.

"That was not nice Xy, who says he didn't like her that tiny." Xy just gave a laugh that sounded like the soft chimes of a Xylophone. Another pixie then started to attack Xy, as Ren sighed. "Chirpers mate." She pulled the man off who made noises like a horse. "Hosey, calm down. She'll be back." The male pixie pouted as Xy stuck her tongue out to him.

"If you take Chirper, remember, you have to visit every once in a while. Pixies have their mating seasons. But don't worry, she won't get pregnant, and I won't spare you the details." Ren said as she smiled.

For a moment Sora was confused at the fighting pixies and Ren's words only compounded that confusion.

She was how young? and knew about mating seasons and ... and wasn't going to spare him the details?

He made the conscious choice not to worry about it and smiled at Chirper. "I like her no matter what size she wants to be, and if she wants to travel with me, I'll be very sure to bring her back here when she wants to come back. I promise."

Chirper giggled as she hugged his thumb. "I think she wants to go." The male pouted as he sat on Ren's shoulder. "I'll take her mate and teach him some manners though." She smiled as the boy pixie just blew his hair out of his face. "Ren... so nice to see you again..." Ren jumped a bit as she felt a hand on her shoulder. Shock was in her eyes as she turned slowly and looked at Captain Hooke. "Bag her boys!" He yelled as the pirates took out a bag and put Ren in it while she fought tooth and nail, literally.

Sora shouted when he saw Captain Hook and summoned his Keyblade in a smooth motion as he moved to strike at the villains. He didn't want to hurt Chirper, though.

"Chirper, Xy, get the pixies out of the way!"

He charged at the pirates holding the bag with Ren in it. He struck the first one across the arms, to make him drop the bag and then again across the midsection before knocking the other away from Ren with two strong blows.

"Ren, you okay?" He bent with one hand and tried to help Ren get loose of the bag before he faced Hook with the Keyblade ready. "You will leave her alone! Peter and the Croc took your hand, do you want to see what I can do with the rest of you?"

Ren glared as she pulled out a kunai from her pocket and cut some of the fabric. She crawled out and stood beside Sora. "Ah, Sora, I remember you. The keyblade master. You see, this girl is special to me." Ren glared as she listened to his reason. "She is my daughter."

When Hooke said that, Ren dropped her kunai that was given to her by Yuffie and just stared at the man. "You're lying!" She shouted.

"Then why would I have this Ren! You have the same picture in your pocket. You've had it since you found it when you were nine years old." Ren pulled the picture out of her pocket as Hooke did the same. He walked to her and showed the picture that was an exact identical.

Sora's expression firmed into one of the most serious faces he'd worn since the day Kairi's mother had hit her.

"It doesn't matter if you're her father or not. She doesn't want to go with you, you're OBVIOUSLY not interested in HER as anything more than an object. I'll kill you if you come near her again!"

He thought about Kairi's mother and realized that she'd been just like Hook, didn't see her daughter as anything other than an object to own and control ... and Sora HATED what had happened to Kairi. He wasn't about to let that happen to Ren, not as long as he could fight for her.

"She is coming with me." Hooke said furiously. Ren walked backwards and picked up the kunai that Yuffie gave her and walked over to Hooke. "Touch me and I'll make sure you breathe no longer." She swore as she placed the kunai against his neck.

"That is the same thing your mother said when she left me." Hooke said as he glared at Ren. Ren met his gaze as she pulled her arm that wasn't holding the kunai to the side and whacked Hooke's neck.

"I'm not your daughter Hooke." She spat on Hooke as she started to walk away, but stopped as she turned to his crew. "I'm Kuja and Yuffie's daughter."

Okay, THAT Sora wasn't expecting.

He remembered Yuffie. She'd been one of the ones he'd met back in Traverse Town just after he left the Islands the night that the Heartless attacked. She'd actually been rather nice.

But Kuja ... Kuja was a whole 'nother situation entirely. He wasn't sure how to take THAT little announcement.

He followed Ren away from Hook and his Pirates, going further into the Island to where they could possibly be safe.

"So... uhm... you're Kuja and Yuffie's daughter?"

"Yuffie is a nobody. She has a heartless, but she and her heartless won't tell me what happened to them." She then sighed as she started to cool down from her anger. "Kuja is teaching me how to fight, with his sister. Him and the nobody Yuffie met and then Yuffey, the heartless, found me and brought me to them."

Xy sat on her shoulder as Ren sighed. "Their family to me. And Kuja isn't really that evil if you get to know him."
