Well, just so you know, Wolverine's name is Logan, so that name kicks all kinds of hind end.

Nikki isn't a bad name. It *is* kinda cute. My sister's middle name is actually Nichole, so I like the name.

Kaleb is a good, solid name and I can think of worse ones from the Bible to be saddled with. At least it's not Obadiah, right?

Mine's just an insignificant flower so I've played at changing it since I was twelve. Finally found a name I liked with "Maracae". Mara is the Hebrew root name for "Mary" and all the variations thereof. It means "Bitter", as in grief or sorrow. The "Cae" suffix is related to a language I made up for a culture of Elves and means "Sweet". It's used mostly as a diminutive for children and pets or as an appelation of affection. So the two together become "Bittersweet", which is a concept completely different for being tied.

"Bittersweet" is their concept of Divine Grace. It's the way that sorrow can become joy, that those things which hurt us are ultimately for our good. There's a song, "O'Reilly's Luck", that is a perfect example of "bittersweet". A family missed their chance to escape Europe and the struggle there because of an illness in the family, but the vessel they almost traveled on was the Titanic. Their sorrow became their joy.

It's also related to the source material in the Book of Ruth, in the Bible. Naomi's Sorrow, the loss of her family, the utter destruction of her place in society, became the World's Joy because through her loyal daughter-in-law was born David, the King of Israel, and ultimately the Redeemer Himself.
