Name: Shield from the Shadows

Magic Cost: 10 MP to bring out, then 5 MP for every consecutive post active.

Duration: Indefinite; Lasts until dropped or MP is completely consumed.

Requirements: Control over Darkness.

Elemental Alignment: Darkness

Class: Defense

Description: Summons a purplish-looking shield that absorbs the kinetic energy of physical attacks and solid projectile attacks. Energy attacks and magic attacks WILL pierce the shield. The caster is immobilized while the shield is active, which makes it difficult for them to attack, and leaves them wide open for attacks. One hand is always raised to keep the spell active.

History: Xander learned this spell while in a training session with some lesser Nobodies. He had been putting up a good fight, but he realized that his lack of defensive spells put him at a disadvantage. As a result, he searched his mind for some way of defending against the attacks his opponent (or opponents) used. Remembering a spell found while rummaging through the Organization's library of spellbooks, he raised his hand and collected the Darkness around him in a shield. This shield worked, but it didn't defend against magic and energy attacks, which made it generally useless against Xigbar's Snipers and other energy-using enemies. To add to the trouble, Xander realized he couldn't move while using this spell. All things considered, though, he thought it was a good spell to pull out if he wanted to surprise his opponent.

Sooooo... shielding against Melee but nothing against magic...

Ehh... It looks okay to me... unless someone sees something out of place here...
